Obituary – Michael Craghead

The Saddle Horse Report family, along with the show horse world is saddened to learn of the passing of longtime trainer, instructor, judge, Michael Craghead. A native of Pennington Gap, Virginia, Craghead has been a fixture on the west coast for decades, where he lived with longtime partner Kevin Michael.
A great friend to many, in addition to producing world’s and national performance horses and equitation riders, Craghead was a well-respected judge in the American Saddlebred and Morgan worlds. He was also a longtime active participant on the UPHA Equitation committee.
