Applications Are Now Open For Two Scholarships Offered By The UPHA Foundation



The United Professional Horsemen's Association (UPHA) provides scholarships for high school seniors or freshmen in college who represent the show horse breeds! The scholarships are awarded based on the applicant's merits, including their high school or college transcripts, resume, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and personal references.

The Sandra Hall scholarship is specifically designed for current UPHA junior members, while the Maria Knight scholarship is tailored to children of current UPHA professional horsemen. To apply, the completed applications must be submitted to the UPHA office by May 31, 2024. UPHA Sandra Hall Scholarship

The UPHA Sandra Hall Memorial Scholarship is a program established to honor the legacy of Sandra Hall, who had an unparalleled commitment to giving back to the show horse industry and its horsemen. The program's purpose is to provide a scholarship to current members of UPHA who are high school seniors or freshmen in college. To be eligible, applicants must be UPHA members for at least one year prior to their application. Emphasis will be placed on demonstrating a commitment to their community and/or the show-horse industry. The scholarship amount awarded is $2,500, and applications and materials are due by May 31 each year.

UPHA Maria Knight Scholarship

The UPHA Maria Knight Scholarship was established to honor Maria Knight, a UPHA Professional known for her commitment to providing a college education for her daughter. The program aims to provide financial assistance to children of professional horsemen who are members of UPHA. To qualify, applicants must have a parent, step-parent, or legal guardian who is a professional horseman and a current Professional Member of UPHA. Additionally, applicants must be in their senior year of high school at the time of application or have been accepted to (or are currently enrolled in) an institution of higher education. The scholarship amount is $5,000, and the application and materials must be submitted by May 31 each year.
